The City of Gunter has moved City Hall and the Police Department to it's temporary location. Our physical address is 418 W. Main.
The Gunter Citizens Committee has began scheduling meetings. This Committee is comprised of members of private community organizations as well as governmental bodies and boards. A quorum of the following governmental bodies may be present and participate in the discussion, but such governmental bodies will not take any action, other than the voting members of the committee: Gunter City Council, Planning and zoning Commission, Parks Board, Gunter Economic Development Corporation and Capital Improvements Advisory committee.

Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
Gunter Police Department to begin Code Enforcement October 6, 2013 concentrating on abandoned/junk vehicles, high grass, abandoned/unsafe structures and the accumulation of rubbish on private property. Citations will not be immediately issued. Notification letters will be sent with a time frame to correct the violation before citations will be issued. The Police Chief welcomes any questions or concerns.
Please note the posted speed limit in the Woods Subdivision is 30 miles per hour. The Gunter Police Department thanks you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.

WASTE MANAGEMENT - INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL RATE INCREASE 09/01/12
Waste Management will increase their rate for commercial and industrial customers (no change in the residential rate) by 1.7% due to CPI data effective September 1, 2012.

ISO Fire Rating Change Effective May 1, 2012
The City is pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2012 that the ISO Ratings for the City will be revised to lower your Homeowners Insurance Rates. Be sure to contact your Insurance Agent to notify them of the upcoming change, and take advantage of the lower rates!
Gunter EDC Receives $99,900.00 Revolving Loan Grant
The GEDC has received a grant from the USDA to loan money to small and emerging businesses in the City of Gunter and its ETJ. These funds are available to existing and new businesses that meet the loan requirements. For more information click on:
